So, essentially, this (but I think I need thicker cables, given that they will carry up to 5A ? (max 5A x 5V = 25W)
How would you guys do that?
Strip a piece of default extension cable of it's isolation and wire that to the 5V GPIO pin?

PS: The little cables that come with RPI and Arduino kits say AWG 26, so according to wikipedia gage 26 can handle 1.3A.
The cable to the floppy connecter that I used in the picture are AWG 20 and should handle 5A.
The cables that connect the PSU to the molex are AWG 18, so can handle 10A.

So according to that, could maybe just take out two of the cables from the floppy connector and plug the floppy into GPIO 2 & 6, given that the pins have the right side. Then I wouldn't even need to soldier anything, but I of course would only have 1 GND and 1 5V connection.
