That's very hot for an idle system, even with no cooling.I installed Ubuntu Server 24.04.1 LTS on my new Raspberry Pi 5 4G and I feel it is running very hot.
It doesn't have any cooling, but still feel it is too hot. I am utilizing the "vcgencmd measure_temp" command and am getting an output of "temp=85.6'C".

Is this normal? If not, what can I do? I am unable to return it for a refund as I opened it two months after I bought it.
Have you tried Raspberry PiOS? What is ambient air temperature?
