Can you just confirm that:I've never seen this happen on 6.1 kernel.
Whenever I've forced a mode from kernel command line on 6.1 the screen come up with what I've requested.
Also not seen this behavior when modifiying wayfire.ini (not changing the resolution but orientation only) on 6.1.
