I will not stop you from writing yoir own driver! Did the same when taking the time to look into SPI displays (as a personal exercize, sorry! Will not upstream mine).
Anyhow, there is a driver in tree called mipi-dpi which can be used with MIPI-DBI compliant Timing Controllers.
